Cowhands Billy Carson (Buster Crabbe) and Fuzzy Jones (Al "Fuzzy" St. John) open a general store together in a town embroiled in a battle between ranchers and farmers. Cattleman Dale Kirby (Mady Lawrence) believes the farmers have been stealing cattle, forcing him to borrow from crooked lender Steve Kinney (Jack Ingram). In truth, however, it is Kinney himself who is behind the cattle thefts. When Billy attempts to mediate, he and Fuzzy find themselves threatened by Kinney.
In this musical western, Marjorie Brooks (Dale Evans) is the owner and operator of a rodeo that's an antiquated touring company on its last legs. Her business rival, Frank Madden (Richard Powers), offers to combine their operations if the lovely Marjorie will be his bride. Though she initially rebuffs his proposal, a canceled booking tips the scales and forces Marjorie to accept. But rodeo rider Roy Rogers (Roy Rogers) suspects Frank is behind Marjorie's troubles and sets out to investigate.
Cheyenne Davis (Lash La Rue) comes to the rescue of a group of ranchers who are losing their homes to a gang of malicious outlaws. When Davis and his sidekick, Fuzzy (Al "Fuzzy" St. John), capture the outlaws, they collect reward money to distribute to the ranchers. But Fuzzy, who is in charge of delivering it, loses the money as well as his memory. Now it's up to Davis to set things right and prevent land baron Jim Kirby (George Chesebro) from getting his hands on the cash.
Cowboy Fuzzy (Al "Fuzzy" St. John) is riding in a stagecoach with young Jean (Patti McCarty), on his way to a business deal with her father. The coach is attacked by bandits, but luckily Fuzzy's buddy Billy Carson (Buster Crabbe) is in the vicinity, and he comes to the rescue, fending off the outlaws. Billy helps Jean get back home, only to learn that the bandits he's just thwarted have killed her father and pinned the crime on Fuzzy. Billy then must go after the real murderers.
